Produce Like a Producer

It takes a certain individual to create content meant for mass consumption. Working in TV, you learn the importance of quick decisions and course-correcting until you reach the end of your broadcast.

In a breaking news environment, you don't have time to A/B test your messaging. It doesn't make sense to focus group a hashtag when the information is important and needs to get out. Yet all too often I see business owners and thought leaders waste hours of productive creative time doing just that.

Creating from a place of knowing is the difference between an industry professional and someone following a framework. There are times when it makes sense to hire someone to deliver a perfectly produced package. And there are times when it makes sense to learn the soft skills of production and unlock what you're trying to express.

In this conversation with my friend and collaborator Tony Lombardo, we lift the veil on the key players behind "TV magic". We explore what a writer, director, and producer do and how you can hire these special skills to elevate your content.

In this Hot Take, we talk about the popular On-Camera Confidence Workshop where you learn what to say, how to say it well, and how to look good saying it. This workshop is held at the beginning of every quarter. Click the button below to book our next session and start showing up more confidently on every screen!
