Marketing Myths

Do you know the difference between marketing, PR, and communications?

Don't worry, no one does. For many people, these are blanket terms to describe how a business presents itself to the public.

Marketing it perhaps the most misunderstood term, because it's the broader puzzle of external promotion, internal values and decision making, and the overall representation of a business (its people and its products).

It's also the goalie: the only time you really pay attention to it is when it fails to generate sales. And yet, looking at marketing alone is not the solution. If you have issues with your website and POS system, you're leaving your net unattended and still blaming the goalie who is sat on the bench.

In this conversation with digital marketing expert Kristin Hartigen of SquareKey Digital, we explore the difference between sales and marketing: how to identify if you have a sales problem, how to identify a marketing problem, and best practices to fix both.
