About the event
I've recently discovered my media super power. It's not my ability to create ideas or even my extensive network of industry contacts.
It's how I handle hearing "NO".
In business and in media, there is always a risk when you pitch an idea, product, or story. It's how you handle the times when it feels like nothing is working out that determine your future success.
I'm sure you've seen the motivational "Hang in there" posters, and the endless platitudes online about perseverance and persistence. But what does it really mean to push through when all you hear is "NO"? And how do you know when to pivot and when to stay the course?
Most importantly, how do you believe in yourself when it seems the rest of the world doesn't?
Motivational posters will only get you so far. What you really need is a deeper understanding of how the mind works. How to identify your triggers, and what steps you can take to reset and move forward in the right direction.
I've built a successful business based on the pitch process. Every day I set myself up for ghosting and rejection. The mental motivators I'll share in this Masterclass not only keep me focused on getting creative projects and segments greenlit, but allow me to enjoy the process along the way.
You don't need toxic positivity to power through and reach your goals. You do need a better way of handling "no".
